Let there be blog...

I'm not gonna spend ages introducing myself coz I'll get bored , you'll get bored and that's not why you're reading this. I'm just a regular gooner who has his own opinions so i set this blog up. I was inspired by Wrighty7 whom my hat goes off to as he has a truly amazing blog going on.

Anyway, enough with the pleasantries and down to footy. Despite results such as burnley, the hammers and the brummies (that howler by Almunia may well have cost us the season) along with our defeats against our title rivals us gooners are still in the race. We've been a bit of a dark horse from the start and we've been written off twice but we are hanging in there til the bitter end and who knows, we might have a reason to celebrate at the end of the season. The deadlock at Ewood park is another gift. The game against spurs and citeh are without out doubt must wins, these victories are vital for our title contention. Spurs will be going into this match more tired than our beloved arsenal after playing pompey on Sunday so we have a fatigue advantage.
However, the match is at Shite Hart Lane so not only do they have the home advantage but they will want to win as much as us coz fourth place is still up for grabs. Spurs do have quite a few out, with injuries to Huddlestone, Jenas, Lennon and dare i say it Corluka, their side is not at full strength. However, they still have their major strikers (Pav and Defoe) along with their major playmaker (Modric). These players may cause problems for our already weakened side.(Full injuries in link : http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php?SKEY=f6abb29fb48652b151f925947b6523a8) Our side has seen better days, our two top goal scorers (Cesc and Andrey) are both out for the rest of the season, along with Song who has been playing the best he has ever played. Song's replacement is likely to be Denilson and I'm not quite sure why he still plays there, not that he is not a terrible player, the role does not suit him. To be a holding mid, you need strength and persistance, which he does not have. Nasri will assume the role of Cesc and he plays well there, lets hope his creativity is at its best on Wednesday. Obviously Vermaelen will play at the back with Clichy and Sagna. Sol should be expecting a warm welcome from the home crowd coz i cant see Silvestre playing. Either Eboue or Wallcott will play on the right. Both players have pace, with Walcott having the obvious edge but either players can cause problems for the Spurs back four. Rosicky will most likely play on the left with Diaby in the middle. This leaves our forward role which will obviously be filled by Bedntner.
However, there have been rumours going round gooner blogs and newspapers alike that RVP may be ready to step back into first team footy. This is great, great news as it will be a real tonic to our injury woes. Wenger may be debating weather to play him or not and if so when and for how long should he play. In my opinion, he should play. If he does get injured again its not the end of the world, we've survived this far without him so we can carry on. However, with the loss of Cesc and Andrey maybe RVP is the godsend we so desperately need, maybe he should not be rushed back into games. Still, i think he should play 45 mins and i would rather see him play the last half against tired defenders . According to the news he has been in the gym and passing fitness tests in Holland for over a month which suggests that he is fast and fit. But he will be rusty, he will need a few games to get in the swing of things, all players do. All we can do is pray he plays, its what we need.

Well that about wraps it up for now, let us now how it went in the comments and lets get behind the players, who ever plays,
Live Forever
.
